Part of the senior team founding Bluepoint Leadership Development, David originally joined the Tom Peters Company in 1996. He is responsible for leading sales development activity at Bluepoint. This includes the acquisition and development of major clients such as Microsoft, Nike, Seagate Technology, Cisco Systems and GE. He describes his role as “oiling the wheels of business and helping organizations realize their strategic goals.”
A native of Northern Ireland, David has a pragmatic approach to leadership development. He brings over fifteen years of ‘real world’ experience to the table. This includes: managerial positions with Marks & Spencer, Brooklowe Consulting and Omnicom. Prior to joining Tom Peters Company David was Senior Executive, Marketing and Sales at FFI the Heath Club division of Forte Hotels in London.
On the academic front David has a bachelor’s degree in Business from Northumbria University and a DMS from Teesside University Business School. He is professionally qualified with the British Institute of Management and the Chartered Institute of Marketing. When not transforming the world of work, David is a keen athlete: a former rugby player turned triathlete who has swum the Golden Gate and ‘Escaped from Alcatraz’ many times. He, his wife Shirley, daughter Fiona and son Conor live in the San Francisco Bay Area
