San Francisco, California - February 6, 2007:
Economic growth, globalization, a shrinking workforce, and a renewed focus on ethics are all contributing to an increased demand for leadership development services. This demand led to a stellar year for Bluepoint Leadership Development in 2006 and even better outlook for 2007. New clients included Autodesk, General Electric and Siemens, in addition to existing clients such as DHL, Microsoft, and Starbucks.
"With nearly 80 million Baby Boomers retiring over the next 20 years, there are major leadership implications for organizations. The need for new, younger leaders has placed a huge fire under the caldron of leadership education worldwide," says Ron Crossland, Chairman of Bluepoint Leadership Development.
To meet the increasing demand for leadership development, John Colburn and Jim Boneau have joined Bluepoint as senior facilitators. John joined the Bluepoint team in 2006 after a long-standing career at Microsoft. In his time at Microsoft he was integral to the design and delivery of the Microsoft Leadership Bench and the Management Excellence initiative. Jim Boneau comes with an extensive management and leadership background at EDS and PeopleSoft.
Bluepoint's most popular new workshop in 2006 was Leader As Coach. This workshop builds internal coaching capability and drives a performance based culture. "Many organizations faced with stretch goals, retention challenges and the desire to build a 'coach-like' culture are seeking ways to build their internal coaching capability" says Gregg Thompson, President of Bluepoint.
